“You just have to live and life will give you pictures.”
Henri Cartier-Bresson

A treasured camera used by my father on a trip around the world as a young man, inspired me to learn the techniques of capturing images on film. I am also an explorer by nature, both at home in Dundas, Ontario and afar. I have had the opportunity to visit all seven continents with camera in hand. With every photograph, I try to capture the essence, or “somewhereness”, of each unique place and experience. It has been a pleasure to extend each adventure back at home in the darkroom. I work primarily with black and white photographs and have studied both traditional darkroom and digital photography at the Dundas Valley School of Art, Center 3 in Hamilton, and the International Center of Photography in New York City.
In sharing my photographs, I want to inspire others to discover and more fully interact with urban and natural places at home and afar.
I was born in St.Catharines and moved to Hamilton in 2001. I live in Dundas.
